The essence of any blog is the content. Content is KING. Always remember that. However, when it comes to blog content there is an additional and very important element and that is "conversation".
There are "rules" to blog writing so let's discuss how to write a blog.
Rule 1. It's Nothing Personal, It's Just Business...Or Is It?

I'm a little behind in publishing my Blogging 101 series. I'm an IT Systems Engineer by day and the end of the year is a very, very busy time of year for my company believe it or not. It's been eating into my publishing schedule the last few days.

In the continuing quest to distill a concise definition of a blog into something easy to remember and identify I cam across this entry. I think I will adopt this one and modify just a wee bit.
Dana Blankenhorn provides this simple definition over at Corante.com: How about that? Simple isn't it? I think of most challenging reasons for defining what a blog is comes from also trying to at the same time define what a blog does in the way that blogs do what they do. At the end of the day a blog is indeed instant publishing. It is the benefit of publishing with blog that is so interesting and exciting and to which this blog itself is dedicated to documenting.
