In the continuing quest to distill a concise definition of a blog into something easy to remember and identify I cam across this entry. I think I will adopt this one and modify just a wee bit.

Dana Blankenhorn provides this simple definition over at Corante.com:

"Blogs are instant publishing"

How about that? Simple isn't it? I think of most challenging reasons for defining what a blog is comes from also trying to at the same time define what a blog does in the way that blogs do what they do.

At the end of the day a blog is indeed instant publishing. It is the benefit of publishing with blog that is so interesting and exciting and to which this blog itself is dedicated to documenting.
