RSS Submit is a Windows software tool that allows you to submit your RSS feed to a number of directories at once with the click of a button. This tool is easy to use and must have piece of software for your blog promotion and RSS feed submission efforts.
Blogs and RSS are a powerful publishing (blog) and broadcasting (RSS feeds) tool set for content distribution. RSS marketing and promotion is extremely powerful because of the potential traffic you can generate to your blog.
Blogs matter because they are not just standard web publishing tools. Blogs also provide live updates for content that they publish. RSS is one of the live update mechanisms that blogs use to distribute your content widely or broadcast your content.
Basically blogs like to advertise your content by sending notification to content services like content agreggators like Weblogs.com, and RSS feed and Blog directories.
Can your standard web site do that? :-)
Submitting the RSS feed which is enabled in your blog and which contains your blog content is how you in fact broadcast your content in the growing number of RSS and blog directories out there.
Where you blog publishes content readily, your RSS feed distributes your published content. Think of your RSS feed as a content channel. As you submit your RSS feed to various directories you are promotion your content channel and people and search engine spiders (not just Google!) can tune in to your content channel and consume your content. You give more people and opportunity to visit your blog and subscribe to your content using RSS readers or aggregators.
In the past, RSS feed submission would be a bit time consuming or at the very least a little slow going because you have to submit your RSS feed URL to directories manually by and hand and individually according to the directory submission requirements. Submitting your RSS feed is important for blog content promotion.
All roads from your RSS feed leads back to your blog content. Your feed contains keywords, titles, content summaries and links that all point back to your blog content. Each directory you submit your RSS feed to gives your content many more opportunities for discovery and ultimately more traffic. Some of these directories send their own spiders to crawl your feed and thus your content getting your content indexed and in various search results and in a short amount of time.
When you submit content rich, keyword focused RSS feeds to a lot of different directories you are setting the foundation for and an explosion of traffic and inbound links and more and more people find your content and begin to visit your blog and link to your posts.
